Allows the automatic mapping of free text terms to codes in:
The VR Autocoder is a software engine that analyses files containing free text and assigns codes (Clinical Terms Version 3 or SNOMED® CT) to those terms within the file which map to a coded concept. The algorithms cope with compound concepts and abbreviations giving a high degree of accuracy.
The user has the facility to edit these assigned links – either removing assigned codes or assigning codes manually to terms using the VR Text Browser.
The user can set the system to limit the assigned codes to a particular ‘Subject Type’ or a range of ‘Subject Types’. For example ‘Procedure Type’ or ‘Clinical Finding Type’ or a combination of both.
The interface implementation and output type depend on the requirements of the host system.
